Everything you want to know about real-time AI call coaching — how it works, what it works with, and what happens to your data.
CallSteer is a real-time AI coaching platform for phone-based teams. It listens to live calls, understands what the customer is saying, and puts the right response on the rep’s screen in real time — objection rebuttals, buy-signal alerts, policy answers, and troubleshooting steps, all customized to your company. Unlike post-call analytics tools, CallSteer coaches during the call, when it can still change the outcome.
Conversation intelligence platforms record and analyze calls after they end, producing insights for later coaching sessions. CallSteer works live: while the customer is speaking, it detects objections, buy signals, and escalation risks and displays a suggested response in real time. The two are complementary — CallSteer can even import your historical Gong or Chorus transcripts to pre-train itself on your team’s best calls before day one.
CallSteer transcribes both sides of the call live, routes the customer’s speech through a multi-layer detection pipeline — objections, buy signals, exit signals, custom playbook triggers, knowledge base matches — and generates a short suggested response built from your company’s own facts: your ROI numbers, your guarantees, your competitive advantages. The suggestion appears on the rep’s screen in real time, and the system learns from which suggestions reps actually use.
Your DNA is a structured profile of everything that makes your company persuasive: value proposition, quantifiable ROI, proof points, guarantees, financing options, competitor comparisons, top objections, and language rules. Every suggestion CallSteer generates is built from your DNA, so reps sound like your best rep — not like a generic AI.
The CallSteer desktop app works with any softphone and any headset on Windows — no virtual audio cables or drivers required. If your team calls through the browser, the CallSteer Chrome extension captures audio directly from the browser tab. There is no telephony integration to build.
No. CallSteer transcribes audio in real time and does not store call recordings. When importing historical transcripts from platforms like Gong, raw transcripts are processed and discarded — only the extracted patterns and knowledge are kept. The architecture is privacy-first and encrypted end-to-end.
Three modules, one platform: Sales (objection handling, buy-signal detection, close coaching), Customer Service (de-escalation, social-engineering and fraud-attempt detection, policy surfacing), and Tech Support (guided troubleshooting, knowledge-base resolution, escalation intelligence).
One white-glove DNA session of about 2–3 hours, and your team is live. We capture your competitors, pricing structure, proof stacks, and objection playbooks; your reps download the widget, log in, and start getting coached on their next call. If you have historical recordings in a platform like Gong, CallSteer can mine them so the system starts at month-six maturity on day one.
Yes. Reps can vote on every suggestion, and adoption is tracked automatically. Responses that win — the ones reps actually use and rate well — are automatically promoted into the instant-response engine, so the system gets faster and more accurate with every call your team makes.
Yes. CallSteer can push signed webhook events — suggestion fired, suggestion adopted, call ended — to Salesforce, HubSpot, Zapier, or any custom endpoint, so coaching data lands wherever your team already works.
Pricing is per seat and scales with your team. CallSteer is currently in an invite-only Founding Partner phase with preferential locked-in pricing for early teams — apply on the pricing page and we’ll walk you through it. One extra closed deal per month typically pays for CallSteer for the entire team.
CallSteer ships with pre-built playbooks for industries including solar, roofing, insurance, Medicare, real estate, SaaS, merchant services, freight and logistics, and pest control — and the DNA system adapts to any industry where teams talk to customers on the phone.
